Main organisators of the Spiennes Days event : Stéphane Wirtel and Gaetan Guelette, from the Mons and Ath LUGs, with help from the Spiennes Events Commitee.
We need all of you, Linux fans ! Please search for symbol "£" on this page to find our remaining needs. Questions or points to be clarified are labeled with symbol "$".

Registration page (only in French, sorry. If this is a problem for you, please email me and I will register you. Informations required are : last name, first name, coming with a computer <y/n>, spending the Saturday night in Spiennes <y/n>, wanting sandwiches on Saturday noon, Saturday evening and Sunday noon <y/n for each>, and wanting breakfast on Sunday morning <y/n>)
Thanks for registering as soon as possible so that we can estimate food, drinks, elec. power needs,..

A poster (in French, but feel free to translate it) is available here in A3 size; to print it on a A4 sheet, just select this size for our print output, and resizing will take place automatically (many thanks to Stéphane Wirtel for making this poster available).

Thanks to GMsoft and Linux-Charleroi, an IPv4 and IPv6 network will be available, with Gentoo and Debian mirrors.
Volunteers for managing the Debian mirror : ? £

A wireless access point will be maybe available in the main room.


April 25th.

From Friday 25th at ~14-15h on, people ready to bring servers and other goodies will have access to the event site to install and configure their stuff.
It is possible to sleep on site (please take a sleeping bag and a foam mattress with you).

    • help : Laurent (LiliT), Fabrice (LiliT - for openoffice), Renaud (LiliT maybe), ? £
    • a "Mandrake Linux Desktop computer" with a 19" screen brought by LiliT
  • multimedia/gnomemeeting demo including webcam, etc
  • education software demo (presentation of AbulEdu, DebianEdu, ANT and other suggestions welcome)
    • stand management : Spyroux (NamurLUG)
    • help : ?Snulkid (LiliT if nobody else, but I'm not qualified), ? £ (2 ou 3 people needed, at least to give explanations and watch the PCs)
    • 2 computers are already available for this stand (lent by PGT-Linux sponsor) and will be freely accessible to visitors, probably with DebianEDU installed.
  • "Games" demo (Unreal, Quake, freeciv..)
    • stand management : Yasha (PGT-Linux Ath)
    • help : Emerson Martens aka Mostyk (Linux-mons), Pol (Linux-mons)
    • 2 computers will be available for the visitors to try the games.
    • Pol will make a demo of Quake, Unreal, HL.. on his own computer.
    • ! NB: this staff will be in charge of servers setup for the next night LAN Party.
  • Zope/Python demo

This night will be solely accessible to developers and LUGs members. To sleep on site, please take a sleeping bag and a foam mattress with you.
In order for people to sleep, headphones will be compulsory to listen to the PCs (big loudspeakers forbidden).
